I love what I do.

I know that true health is not only the absence of disease and suffering, but rather the continuous cultivation of one’s sense of joy, peace, wisdom, presence, and resilience.

My approach to healing is dynamic and multidisciplinary, and I tailor my sessions to your unique needs.

• TECHNIQUES •

I work primarily with dietary change, herbal medicine, behavior and lifestyle modification, and emotional-spiritual healing.

I favor the Constitutional-Energetic approach found in the time-tested wisdom of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other ancient health systems, while adapting these systems to a modern reality.

I integrate and refer to other systems and modalities including Naturopathy, Daoist and Buddhist practices, modern Medical Herbalism, as well as various contemporary psychologies, spiritual practices, and exercise sciences.

• INSPIRATION •

I have a strong interest in traditional food systems, cooking, holistic nutrition, secular spirituality, sustainable/organic/biodynamic food production, ecology and sustainability, consumer product safety, and traditional fitness systems such as yoga and qi gong.

I am particularly suited to working with a diverse, modern, urban clientele. I have a special interest in working with those of you who may have felt excluded by the broader culture of natural health and wellness. I am also interested in networking with like-minded practitioners.

• TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS •

I am a trained Herbalist, Certified Nutritional Consultant, Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, and have diplomas in Counseling and Sports Nutrition. I have also received formal training in Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine, Planetary Herbology, various cooking styles, Asian Dietetics, Zen and other meditation styles, Chi Nei Tzang massage, Thetahealing®, Emotional Freedom Technique, Advanced First Aid, Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Hygiene.

• MY JOURNEY TO HEALING •

Health has not always come naturally to me. Although my interest in and study of Natural Health began at a very early age, I was distracted through my 20′s by the allure of sudden success in business and the excesses that accompanied it. I was enjoying early financial prosperity, an important long-term relationship, and I had all the appearances of great success. In actuality, I was frequently unhappy and unwell. I was overworking myself, basing my self-worth on material gain and the opinions of others, neglecting my authentic self, and quickly burning out. I also had a plethora of chronic health complaints that seemed to be getting worse, despite frequent medical interventions. At the age of 28, my health forced to take a prolonged absence from work. It was during this time that I resolved to live my knowledge, re-connect to my passion, and move toward my true calling. I radically changed the way I lived and worked and began the groundwork for a major life change, finding health and joy along the way.

In 2006 at the age of 34, it was finally time to transform what had been a lifelong “hobby” and personal passion, into my full-time life and career. I closed what was a successful world-renown business to pursue full-time studies in various aspects of Natural Health.

After 3 years of formal study, including 8 months at a Zen Buddhist temple in rural Japan, I began accepting clients in Montreal in spring of 2009.

On this journey, I have had experiences I could never have imagined, grown in directions I could not have expected, and in the process discovered resilient health and a pervading sense of joy, calm, and purpose that is the foundation of each day, and something I hope to pass on to everyone I meet.

I now spend most of my time in Montreal and accept clients on a full-time basis. Continued study and regular travel are some of my confluent passions. I think that this is a journey that never ends. I hope you will join me!
